For 24+ years we have owned a wonderful Art Gallery and award winning Frame Shop. As often happens we were
hit with the "collecting bug" and had accumulated more artwork than we could reasonably expect to sell in our brick and mortar gallery. e-Bay seemed to be the perfect venue for selling some of this extra artwork on a short-term basis and so began our venture onto the web.
To sell on e-Bay we needed a seller name and we did not want to connect in any way to the Gallery. Ben's initials are BZB and his friends had dubbed him "busy bee" eons ago. The name Busy Bee was taken on e-Bay so Big Busy Bee was suggested and Big Busy Bee Art was born.
In retrospect, had we known that this would eventually develop into a business on its own, we would have put more thought into selecting a more appropriate artsy name. But by now, thousands of customers know us as Big Busy Bee so for now we remain Big Busy Bee Art!
We still run our Brick and Mortar Gallery and Frame Shop specializing in Custom Framing, Judaic Art and Decorative Art and exhibit mostly original paintings. Big Busy Bee Art is the whimsical and fun part of the business dealing mostly with posters and prints which are offered only on eBay and our website. We are growing steadily and adding new products on almost a daily basis.
Through Big Busy Bee Art we have had the opportunity to meet many interesting and wonderful people from all over the world and develop new friendships. It has certainly broadened our horizons and we wouldn't give it up for the world!
