This beautiful 18 color Lithograph, gold illuminated, by Jewish artist Michoel Muchnik is titled "Abraham's Tent". It is one of the largest artwork in size that the artist has produced as a lithograph. In this litho Muchnik has chosen to depict Abraham's tent with its many special characteristics.

The doors of Abraham's Tent were open on all four sides to attract guests from all directions. In the midst of the desert, Abraham and Sara welcomed all weary travellers with shelter and refreshments.

A mystical tree grew near Abraham's tent. If a righteous person sat under the tree it would spread its branches over him and give him cooling shade. Abraham would spend many hours with the good-hearted peopled who sat under his tree teaching them how to serve G-d.

Abraham would not accept thanks for his hospitality. He would, instead tell his guest to thank the Master of the Universe. In this way, Abraham drew tens of thousands of people to acknowledge their Creator and serve Him. The verse "Blessed be He of Whose bounty we have eaten and by Whose goodness we live," inscribed in Hebrew at the bottom of the paintings is used today in the introduction to Grace After Meals.

Sara was equally devoted to spreading truth in the world by teaching women. In her merit, the cloud of the Shechina (Divine Presence) rested above the tent, the Shabbat candles she lit were never extinguished, and the food of the household was blessed with abundance.

A major piece of artwork worthy of being the centerpiece of a Muchnik collection!
