DESCRIPTION: This beautiful Blessing of the Home is centered in arched window. The outdoors can be seen through the window panes. Surrounding the window is a decorative border. Above the window is a shelf with baskets, jars for pickling, a set of spices and plants.
The blessing in the center is written in Hebrew. It is loosely translated as follows:
Blessing of the Home (large letters)
Master of the Universe
Please make dwell in this house light
And Joy, Peace
And friendship and bring forth
an abundance of blessings
And Holiness in each of its rooms
and corners and the light of
Your Torah and Mitzvot
should shine in it always

ARTIST INFORMATION: Leah Rochel Mullokaud's fine detailed work is shown in many galleries in Israel. Originally from the former U.S.S.R. Leah now resides with her husband and children in a settlement in Israel. Several years ago I visited with her in the caravan she lives in and was amazed at what delicate beauty she creates while living in the most primitive of conditions. The breathtaking Israeli landscape which is viewed from her home is no doubt an inspiration to the artist!
