A profusion of white blossoms with green leaves in an ornate planter is depicted in this oil painting by Russian/Israeli Artist Tamara Shpolyansky.
CONDITION: This painting is in good condition. There is some frame abrasion along the edges causing very minor loss to surface paint (see photograph above). This should be covered when inserted into new frame. Minute paint loss right at top in between the blossoms as clearly seen in photograph above. It does not detract from the beauty of this piece.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Tamara Shpolyansky was born in 1951, in the City of Tashkent in Uzbekistan. She found her way into the world of arts in an early age and received first drawing lessons from her father Gregoriy Shpolyansky, a famous painter in Uzbekistan. Tamara completed her formal education in the field of arts in the University of Tashkent, the year was 1975. Her works were chosen to participate in the student exhibition and some were selected by the main museum of Uzbekistan and the Museum of The East Culture of Moscow.
Tamara moved to Moscow in 1985, there she participated in many exhibitions. In 1991 she immigrated to Israel with her family and continued to create and to develop her art, explore new techniques, materials and themes. She works with aquarelle, oil and acrylic using canvas, paper and wood. Fresco, decorative workup of paintings and posters, is one of her favorite techniques.
Tamara’s works can be found in galleries all over Israel: In “Safrai”, “Exodus” in Jerusalem; “Studio”, “Square” in Tel Aviv. Her work is also exhibited in "Creative Alternative Gallery" in New York. She participated in exhibition of “Jerusalem Post” in the American Synagogue and in the Art Expo 1999 in New York.
